Perfect Remote Control

So yours is still up, too? I figure ours will be there until maybe Valentine's Day. Unless someone gets ME a remote.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. If you sneezed near mine, all the needles would fall off. I haven't watered it since Christmas.

LL & Mermaid - you are not alone. Mine is still up as well. I hope to get to it this weekend.

LL, take that tree down right now!!! You're getting me worried. Ours is artificial so it could stay up until kingdom come. But yours is real so it could turn into a fire hazard! Take it away!

If the things on it weren't sentimental, I'd sink it right off the end of my dock. They are great for fish reefs.

Well we don't plug it in any more. It would explode if we did. :floor:

Yea, sentimental will get you every time. I have been ready to take mine down but my grandparents always left theirs up until after 1/10 (their wedding anniversary). I bought their house & feel guilty taking it down before then.

I'm the same way. I have a little boy who is really attached to it also. We've been telling him that the "Christmas tree going bye-bye" for a couple weeks now. I did at least take down the lights outside though.

It is almost perfect! It just needs a "pause" button, so that we can think about things before we answer.

Oh, so some men actually ANSWER????

LL...when do you start your new job? Have you gotten a crackberry or sidekick yet? You MUST....it would be tax deductable, right?

As far as I'm concerned, everything is deductable. I have to get with my dad on that. He's the king. I haven't gotten one yet, though. I'm sure I will..

My last day here is supposedly the 18th, but as we speak, I'm litterally sitting at my desk blowing bubbles so they may kick me out sooner. If I disappear mid-sentence, you'll know it happened so don't be worried.

My absolute deadline for taking down all the Christmas things is Good Friday. I figure that would be a horrible insult to the Christ of Christmas to have his birthday tree up on that day. :( I've never procrastinated quite that much, fortunately. When the kids were little, I took the decorations away little by little so it was never a "here one day; gone the next" kind of thing for them.

I always forget how sentimental Christmas decorations are until I have to box them up.
