There are a lot of good cashiers who can chat as they quickly scan.

My pet peeve is the bagger who is so busy texting they can't bag the groceries!

I love talking to the cashiers when they're scanning. But when the transaction is over, so is the conversation. I should say this only really happens at Trader Joe's. I think they deliberately hire people who are too chummy. :bang:

I'd complain to the manager if I saw a bagger texting on company time. Not only is it rude but it means that he or she is slacking on the job.

How much common sense, do you need?:idontno: You get in the left lane, to PASS a vehicle!:bang:

You can't pass someone that is in the left lane going under the speed limit when the right lane is crowded too.

Its a large city thing. Slow traffic to the right please.

Sometimes, I have to take matters in my own hands and pass on the right. You know what I'm saying?

Speaking of baggers, seems like everytime i go to publix, i get the same one. She's, let's say, different. I tried to help her once bag my groceries and she gave me a look like she would take my head off if i picked up one more thing.

I've learned to just let her take her time with my groceries.

Vehicles with Alabama flags on them.

People who leave their sprinkler systems on when it's below 32, causing icy roads. :pissed:

I know all the peeps at our Publix by name. We yap like crazy in the checkout line.

same here. and I shop at 3 different publix's (or more) - they are all fine folks.
I agree. I went to Publix yesterday. I was gone so long that I got a call from Big D asking if I was okay or was I having problems finding everything on my list. Heck, I was talking to Wayne, the produce manager. Then another professor rolled through and joined the conversation. Then I saw one of the hosts for the engagement party, and we yapped for a while. Then Albert took out my groceries, and we talked about the weather and the Georgia Tech loss.

I agree with you on people having no driving skills or acts of kindness on the road.

My second peeve is people walking down the middle of the area between the parking spaces. Why can't they go to the left or right instead of meadering in the middle where no one can go past them?:idontno:
.
yep! and dawdling when crossing the road in front of my car. step it up a bit folks!

You are so right. I stop for every pedestrian crossing 30A. But it is annoying when I stop and then they can't decide if they wanna cross or not. I give them the benefit of the doubt.

Reminds me of when daughter was at MIT. There's a big crosswalk on Mass Ave from the dorms and student center to the Infinite Corridor. People are very respectful of pedestrians in Cambridge because most people walk or take public transportation due to parking being so expensive. She and her friends had an act where they'd lean forward and pretend to lunge into the intersection. Great place to run because it is so flat. I tried her act a few times. Funny, but not funny.
