Petreaus: Burning Qurans = Lives at Risk

New posts
I definitely agree that there's a control issue here.
It's more like U.S. government/foreign religion psychological warfare. I say foreign cause I don't think any of the founding fathers were muslim.
What the hell is the U.S. doing bowing down in fear to support a comment from this Imam saying that if a mosque is not built near ground zero that we should be afraid of what the "radicals" would do, that our national security would be at risk?
Just like you said before, that is a veiled threat.
That pissed me off.
Hell no.
I didn't have a major problem with them building a mosque there in the beginning, but now that they are talking, the comments out of their mouths are making me suspicious of what is going on. Why all this pussyfooting around from the government when this Imam is trying to use psychological control to get his way.
My radar is up on this issue at this point. I've seen these type tactics before- wake up people- a snake is in the camp. The door for me to agree with a mosque in this area is closing quickly. I would love to be wrong about this, but cannot ignore what he is saying.
I get the feeling of someone coming to burn my house down, then when I get another one built, they want to move into that one with me and not only that, but to bring their friends to stay there too, and not only that, but to move me out.
If I harbored prejudice, I would question my motives, but I am just going by what he himself said.

There's no way that there are "two sides" to this story. There's only one, and that's your own.

Yes! Let's elevate America's adversaries. Way to go! A little advice though. Before you start complaining about telepromters [sic], get yourself a spell checker.

Electing Obama elevated our adversaries.

I hear ya on the spell check. My daughter spilled little pop rocks candy in my keyboard and now certain keys don't register when they should.

The book burning was not put on hold. The press reported that the preacher was not burning the Korans and would never do so in the future. I wonder if the threats came wrapped in green dollar bills or in the way of potential investigation of his internet activity or IRS returns? Makes one wonder what went down, doesn't it?

Or, (and this does sound mysterious) good common sense prevailed.

....and hopefully the same common sense will be used concerning the mosque and investigation of where the millions in cash came from and why the original owner of the building turned down $18 million and chose to accept $4million.

I wonder if we put a Koran in every military vehicle in Afghanistan and announced its presence it if that would have an impact on IEDs and roadside bombings? After all they'd be destroying a Koran. Might be a thought for large buildings and airplanes too.

Nope, that would just add to the furor and the dead bombing victim would be blamed for desecrating the Koran. Infidels should know better than to get blown to pieces while carrying the sacred text.
