Great photos.

I'm just not so sure I like (or appreciate) those behemoth structures in the line of vision toward the water.

.

Yeah...me, either. What's with the difference in style and scale? They don't match anything north of 30A. Are these actually a part of Alys Beach or something different in close proximity?

They are in the center of Alys Beach. They are massive and will get your attention, especially until structures are built around them. They are planters and will have plants in them rising up and vines cascading down around them. The long fountain on the ground rises 3-5 feet or so and will be filled with water plants.

I thought it was going to be the sacrificial altar to Bacchus and fire would spew forth into the sky as the Sowal Wenches paraded around them on S/D/C nights. Thanks for the clarification.

:floor:...and we are in luck...I think I see potties built in the altars! No pee fright for Sunkist!

I will reserve my judgement until I see these in person. ;-)

I have loved everything Alys Beach has done and feel this place is the most exciting and creative development on 30A!

wonderful photos, thanks for the tour, Kurt! The vision for Alys Beach is quite impressive and progressive!
