Pod people go to school

New posts
I'm glad they were excited about going back. Did the first day go OK? Everyone like their teachers, have friends in their classes and planning field trips already? Man I miss school days.

:lolabove: I wasn't very clear was I? I miss when my kids were in grade school. They'd come home all excited, talking about their day, happy to be home asking for food, all that stuff. I'm suffering from emptynest syndrome this year, please send medication... or cash for shopping therapy.

I knew what you meant...I got a lump in my throat at the sight of school supplies at target. Then, on Tuesday I felt like I was waiting for them to come home and tell me about their first day! I don't feel like shopping, so I hope the meds kick in!

Last year when Alex was going off for his freshman year in college, we were in Target together and I asked him if he had his list of school supplies with him. He looked at me like I had two heads and firmly told me "College kids don't have lists!!!" See, he's not a parent. He doesn't know that in our eyes, our babies are always babies, and we'll always be looking for lists...

It went well, everyone's happy with their teachers, but Oldest Pea had homework already and was none too pleased! :pissed: This year, his class goes to both Chicago and Washington D.C.!

Cool trips, sorry about the homework though. Glad they like their teachers too.
