Obama was born on United States soil in the state of Hawaii to a legal citizen of the US.

He has a valid birth certificate. He has produced that certificate and it has been verified.

His birth was also announced in the paper of record by the health department as part of their SOP.

If only a FRACTION of this attention was paid to issues that actually matter.

Ha! He's got better verification than I do. I did a search for birth records on my mother, father, brother, aunt and myself from this one website. It found records for everyone but me.

You tell me if that looks anything like your certificate, it sure doesn't look like mine.

Wikipedia has the low down on ther whole thing.

That's basically what mine looks like. I don't have an "original" whatever that means. I filed for a certified copy one year because the xerox copy I had been using for years wasn't suitable for certain purposes. The bureau of vital statistics in my state of birth provided me with one that has the same type of information as BHO's. It's got a raised seal and fancy engraving. There is no information whatsoever about the hospital.

Clearly you are not a citizen and can't be president then. Sucks for you.

I found online an image of a birth certificate that I had used successfully for years. Later in life I needed a certified copy with a raised seal. The certified copy doesn't contain any more information.

I think it all boils down to the old adage "the squeaky wheel wants the grease". I guess Daddy wanted his little girl to work with him.
