Poll Says Majority Want to Keep Health Care Reform

New posts
Cute in all, but one just needs to read into it to see the little specifics available to us. Who would have thought that in a free america a bill would pass that noone even read or knew about. Gotta love our modern liberal party hanging under the democratic sign
.
turn off the talking points and point out those "little specifics". If Kaiser Foundation can't help you understand the questions you have about your specific situation, then I'm going to guess you just want to biotch without having really tried to understand anything.

You remind me of kkddbb. any relation?

Something tells me kkeith's middle name begins with the letter dd and we know his last name starts with bb.

Actually from what I understand, this healthcare bill is very similar to what Mitt Romney, a Republican, introduced in Massachusetts.

Apparently I live in a different universe - not only am I aware that MANY bills pass without politicians knowing what is in them, I can easily find info/explanations of the health care bill, my health insurance benefits and costs have not undergone any major changes, nor has the IRS's involvement in my health care. :idontno:

What has changed is that some people I know can now get medical care - people with jobs who work hard BTW.

Then you were lucky. Many many company and people got ridiculous increases every year, usually with a cut in benefits to keep the increases from being too high.

I have said it before, at least this year there are some very important additions and improvements, so if you get a small increase, you are at least getting additional benefits. You don't want government run healthcare, yet it is OK for the insurance companies to screw you every year?

Insurance companies screw us, but the government doesnt? Isnt it the government that shoved this plan down our throats even though the majority of the American people opposed it? And isnt it the government that will fee us if we dont sign on? The same government thats allowing waivers to specific companies they see fit. No one organization screws the american people more than the federal goverment

My increases were a drop in the bucket, until now.

We will see in less than two years the real impact of this bill and all this silly debating the obvious will be over

This bill does absolutely nothing to decrease cost and better the quality of healthcare, period.

pleasant. ive been working on revising our healthcare plan here in this company for a long time. The increases are unreal and quality of each plan isnt any better. These insurace companies now have to compete with the federal government and they see all too well whats coming down the pike. Its business 101, really.

If you need me to provide specifics to a bill you support than I rest my case...

Im didnt join on here to argue but rather to get involved in important debates on important issues. And I joined because I couldnt believe with my own eyes the misinformation thats out there even here in walton cnty

you hit the nail on the head about pols not reading bills. but to not read a healthcare overhaul bill?

youre plan may have not been changed, but it will no doubt. especially if youre a single payer. again, most of this bill has not been implemented thus far. And yes, the IRS has a very specific roll in the very near future. Sad but true cause we all know how wonderful the IRS is to deal with.

lets hope our pols actually read what they shove down our throats in the future. and thats on both sides of the aisle

Who will be required to obtain insurance and what penalties will they face if they fail to comply?
Individual Requirement - Kaiser Health Reform

.

we all will if we opt out. again, this isnt in effect and wont be for awhile that in itself doesnt make sense and im not sure why it isnt now.

if in two years you dont have insurance you will no doubt get contacted by some goverment official as to why. The bill is clear, there are penalties only we dont know what they are just yet.

Its a loaded question as of now. Time will tell. Im certain much of this bill will be amended, especially penalties. Look, 23 state attorneys are suing saying its unconstitutional for the government to force anything onto us, especially healthcare coverage. Theres a reason for this.

this bill is nothing like romneycare. and romneycare is very different today versus what it was originally drafted as. i do think it should be a state by state issue, not a completely overhauled institution run by the feds
