Prayers for Cynthia and Cheri

New posts
Keep us posted, please! Went to school with both of them and their brother. Cheri used to baby sit for me years ago. If there is ANYTHING I can do, please let me know. Hugs and prayers to the girls and their family.

Haven't heard anything yet, hope that no news is good news. I will call Momma soon and get an update.

Cynthia works at the Mosquito Commission in Sowal, so I got an update from my brothers. Cheri has some very serious injuries but is awake and talking up a storm. Cynthia, on the other hand has a lacerated liver along with massive leg and hip/pelvis injuries and is in an induced coma. From what I understand her leg was amputated below the knee. More surgery is needed but it is too dangerous to operate with the liver situation. She is in very critical condition.

Prayers and hugs to the girls and family

Thanks for the update. I had heard about Cynthia's liver yesterday and was hoping there would be better news today.

Cynthia was in a wreck in the mid-to-late 80's, at the light at Sandestin, and IIRC, she suffered a broken hip/pelvis then. That just popped into my memory this afternoon. I wonder if that predisposed her to more serious injury this time. I'm certainly not a doctor.

Any way you look at it, this was a truly horrific accident. :(

Momma called and said her pastor (Uncle Louis) went to the hospital to pray with the family. He said that they had to give Cynthia 14 units of blood but she is now doing a little better.

God Bless these ladies and their families and may they recover soon.
