Public employee pensions

It seems that public employee pension plans are grossly under funded and is the reason so many cities have gone bankrupt. I have a plan for Florida. Remove all elected officials from state retirement benefits and impose term limits on all elected officials. Also many part time positions like school boards should serve without pay. We'd find out who really is concerned about education and our children.

I don't know how it is in Florida, but in Oklahoma, the pension plans of the teachers, state employees and elected and appointed officials were all seperate and each were funded individually.
