the chi is the ultimate in hair care. once you go chi you will never go back...unless you are like me and accidentally leave it on all night and singe the cheap white carpeting in your cheap apartment. thank god for rental insurance! otherwise....long live the chi!

:clap_1: I'm so excited! I should have time to perfect my technique before I hit the Big City!

I've totally missed out on this thread, but wanted to say that super short hair is the best (at least for me)! Love it! whenever I try to grow it a little, I remember that super short is the only way and get it whacked again!

also, I've learned about FH wine glasses in this thread, and LOVE that too! can definitely relate. :D

And you work it, girl! :clap_1:
I totally agree, though. Mine was as short as yours forever, but as I get older, I find a little more hair around my face, uh, softens things a bit. You still have several years to find out if the same turns out to be true for you!

I straightened mine today and the static is driving me crazy. Is it b/c mine is a cheap flat iron from Target? Do the Chi's still give you static?

I think they knock it out...I think that's the whole idea. I just use an el cheapo kind that just fries my hair. This one looks like you do it with with your hair wet.

I did buy the high end cheapo...ceramic plates. Mine has this curved edge so you can sort of curl the ends up or down and I've burnt myself really bad a few times. It's really dangerous...I'm surprised they even sell something like that! Did you see where the $200 one had jeweled plates?

Now to lump some other comments and questions from other posts into this one: What is the Revo Styler? I'm intrigued! Of course, I'm sure I'll go straight from here to Blingo, regardless.

I'd be lost with my Revo Styler! http://www.beautyzoneinc.com/revo.htm
It's a large brush with a rechargable battery that rotates by itself. You just wrap a section of hair around it, push the button and the brush rotates approximately 100 times/minute! Works in reverse too, depending on which way you're brushing. I use it on wet hair, brush in one hand, hair dryer in the other. I have naturally wavy/frizzy hair, and it totally smooths and shines my hair, making it bouncy (until I get into humidity, in which case the wave and frizz comes back :bang: ) Takes a little practice to get the hang of it, but once you get used to it, it's a piece of cake. I've seen it at Walgreens for $29.95.

I can't wait to try the Chi! :clap_1:
