I find Mexican food difficult to prepare, and we have some great cooks at my house. My salsa and pico are great, and I just can't make a smooth cheese dip (but then Gordo's is easy and good). Of course, tacos are easy, as well as fajitas. I guess what's hard about it is all of the different ingredients and food prep time.Smiling JOe said:CoCo's is about it, unless you drive west and eat at Cancun's, which is technically in SoWal, but not in the 30A length we most commonly refer to as SoWal. It may be faster for you to go to Publix and buy some raw ingredients and cook. Mexican food is very easy and quick to prepare.

And knowing that for all of the time and money that you put into prep, it's cheaper if you just go to a Mexican restaurant. Kinda like Chinese food.
It cost about 1/8 to make it at home, too, and most often taste even better. Smiling JOe said:I don't eat much cheese, so you won't find me making it.
Everything except the size of my ever-increasing stomach and love handles. ;-)scrltbegonya said:Cheese makes EVERYTHING better!

My middle name is cheese. I adore cheese. Everyone knows that about me. My husband's sisters in Wisconsin always send me cheese for Christmas. During my three pregnancies, all I craved was cheese. We went to Italy during my only successful pregnancy, and all I wanted to eat there was cheese sandwiches. When I went into labor at 26 weeks and was hospitalized in Atlanta for two months, my husband would drive every day to pick up havarti cheese sandwiches from Pharr Road Wine and Cheese Shop in Buckhead.Smiling JOe said:I don't put much time at all into preparing and cooking Mexican and Asian foods. It cost about 1/8 to make it at home, too, and most often taste even better.
BTW, I am told that the trick to making the cheese dip like that which is served at most Mexican restaurants is to use cheap white American cheese and to use a splash of vinegar. I don't eat much cheese, so you won't find me making it.
