just now

Family Scooterbug is not doing well - yesterday my brother cut off part of his fingertip (he's a chef) and today the dog caught a porcupine and got quills in her face and tongue.

I will not be adding "dog wrangling" to my resume anytime soon, as despite our best efforts (I am covered in mud from trying to restrain & comfort her on a snowy mountain) we only got 1/2 of them out. The vet has taken over and knocked her out, so keep your fingers crossed!

Dog wrangling--akin to herding cats? Scooterbug, sorry about your brother and the dog. Wow. That porcupine story reminds me of that picture that's been going around the internet for a while of that dog that I can't look at.

Scooterbug... We are going to keep you in SoWal. You are always breaking an arm or something when you go on your trips. Now your brother and dog!!! Do take care.

Scooter--so sorry for your troubles! Hope your pincushion...er...dog is okay. My dad's a butcher--fingertips were disposable to him. (Remind me to tell you a funny story about that when you can laugh about it.)

SJ et al...you remind me a lot of the teenaged boys I teach. (I don't mean that as a compliment.)

Is it just us ... or does anyone else notice the excessive Viva Viagra commercials that have been playing lately? It feels like every other commercial is for this product which is kind of mind boggling to us considering the cost of advertising .. and the state of our economy ... evidently the makers of this product are doing very well in these times ...
