It is interesting that the Today show, which just featured a guy talking about the massive amounts of calories in restaurant foods, is now featuring Christmas with Paula Deen, she's the one whom I refer to as the "Butter Lady." She has a counter full of high-calorie desserts and is stuffing her face. The same host who just interviewed the calorie counting guy is hosting this segment, too, probably in a state of shock.

What's the Vegas line on who dies first from a heart attack, Emeril "let's drown everything in olive oil" Lagasse, or Paula "I use butter as a toothpick" Dean. I say Dean may expire during a taping one day. I'll bet they have so much invested in her, there are shocking paddles on the set.

I don't know which one will go first, but the odds are great that both are at high risk of heart disease and or diabetes.

Butter and olive oil are still better for you than most of the chemicals in processed foods! (Obviously moderation is good though.)

I'll take a little extra butter over whatever the oil alternative was they came up w/ a couple years ago that had the lovely potential side effect of "leakage"!

I cook with olive oil as my choice of fat most often, but sometimes use butter, but I don't throw in a block of butter into every dish, like Paula "I brush my teeth with butter" Deen.

they have chippy doodads....available in the 6 in a box pack at Costco. there are 47 Costcos in the metroplex area.
