Drive in movie - Apparently I drove people nuts playing with the horn of a Datsun pickup at one once.

Imagine that.

You make me so happy...

Back in the mid '90s, there was another trend I liked: Old movie theaters that were outfitted with tables, and you could have dinner during the movie. Not sure what happened with that. They had one near Nashville that I went to that had cheap, snack-y food, and when I moved to Atlanta we went to one that had real dinner. I loved that idea.

We have one here that's pretty successful. Haven't been there. We had another one that was only a year old, and it was cool. I went once. They had everything from dinner to snacks to drinks (a full bar). I loved it. Then one day about two months ago, the staff showed up to work and it was bolted up tight..with a sign that said.."sorry". :idontno:

The ones in Ft. Walton were great, except for the smoking. After trying them a few times me and the wife decided it was not worth it.

Damn smokers. The ones here don't allow smoking. In fact, there's not many smoking places left.

Hey, congrats on 1000 posts!!

We still have a drive in theater here in Memphis, has 4 screens. I was at a drive in theater in HS and it got hit by tornado while there, blew the screen away and turned many cars over.

The one here has a playground for kids and picnic tables so you eat without taking the food back to the car, its just the best fun ever.

I hope they never close it. There is also one South of Memphis, in North Mississippi, not far from Tunica where the casinos are, Road Trip. :)
