I love being in the 30A area. Love our home. Love driving by Western Lake to see Kurt's photo live. I love the beautiful beach and Gulf. I love being at the beach in the fall. I love having breakfast at Hibiscus, lunch at Red Bar, dinner at Borago.

I didn't want to go back to Georgia today.

why did they build houses like saferooms in the 50s with no hurricanes, and now you see builders pushing stick built homes when hurricanes seem to be non stop lately??

Gas was no prob once we left GA.

But we keep the tanks topped off here in GA. Gotta get to work, etc. It's scary. The Atlanta news says we only have a week of shortages left. Hope that's true.

Have you seen the beachfront house just east of Seaside that is under construction? Even the interior walls are block. That house is a fortress.

That house does indeed look like a fortress, but it is built on shifting sand, so it will drop like a rock when the sand washes out from under it.
