Today, I noticed a group of hard-working prisoners clearing brush from the roadside, using hand tools. Looked like some hard work and reminded me of times earlier in my life when I used to manually clear dikes and blaze nature trails. The big differences were that I got paid, had a solo shower to go to at home, and had a soft bed, with free time outside of work and the home, though I mostly was sleeping or eating when I wasn't working. One thing that I learned from that high-school job was that I didn't want to do that hard manual work for the rest of my life. It made me appreciate the many laborers out there in the world.
this guy will be missed

DD's rump-shakin' cat makes me smile...

I found a black widow in my laundry basket today. My brother said that it was a good thing she didn't bite me--she would have died of a drug overdose.

:floor:NoHall, I think those drugs make you even funnier. Poor NoHall. How ya feelin?

It makes my brother funnier, anyway.

I'm getting better, or so bored that I will do anything to get out of the house! Go on over to the shingle thread (in the Sickness or Health Forum) and see my drugs!

Oh, Gawd! I know.

And he's not so shy... I'm fairly sure that he ate his predecessor, George...

We'll be using a good bit of some Kill-em' Dead spray this evening.

Crazy K got to meet Fred Sunday when she was getting a demo of the Wii Fit and bumped the ceiling light. He came out to see what the hail was going on. Kitlit..do you remember this? You were still a bit wobbly from the Fire experience and trying to ice a cake.

I like Fire...

No piling foundation?

Wouldn't matter, slabs are usually not engineered to act as a floor with nothing under it.

Isn't there a Bible story about that? ;-)

I believe it's in Psalms.
