...good morning, NoHall. I can never abbreviate your name to NH, becasue* of the state connection and DD uses that for nursing home.

* another addition to the MK great typo collection, coming to a store near you.

jsut
alwasy
becasue

Good belated morning to you!

NoHall is an abbreviation of North Hall, which is commonly abbreviated in these parts as NH anyway, so it don't bother me. And I think that I belong in a NH (jsut not one in New Hampshire) so that's cool wit me, too.

Thanks for the heads up. It just skeers me becasue I'll start typing taht way at shcool, and my interwebs at shcool doens't have the little red lines that alwasy tell me I spelled it wrong.

Another random thought (about school again!)

Today one of my drama kids was volunteering to learn the part that was unexpectedly vacated. He said, "I think I can learn the lines, but you'll have to help me with the cartography."

:floor:I said, "First you have to find due North..."

He gave me one of these , and I asked, "Did you mean 'choreography?' 'Cartography' is map-making."

"Yeah! Choreography!"

I said, "'Choreography is dancing. Did you mean 'blocking?'"

"What's blocking?"

I almost said, "It's like making a map in your head of where you're supposed to go as you say your lines," but then I realized that would be like cartography.

Language is so silly.

...I see you DID complete Miss Kitty's School of Messed Up Typing! Good job! I LOVE, taht, too!

I do love your school stories. Makes me wish I had written down some of my more memorable exchanges. I can tell you teaching was the place where I learned how much I couldn't stand the word, pee. My first year of teaching, one of my precious little 1st graders came up to me on the first day and was hopping up and down and said..."Teacher, I gots to pee!" Of course, I grimaced and took this as a teachable moment pointing out that I had a name and didn't need to know what his bathroom business was. What I can't remember is if he tinkled himself while I rambled, but I do know they all learned my name quickly and learned to ask to be excused. ;-)

OK - I just do not understand cartoons these days. I am watching a tomato be sweet to a cowboy cucumber or maybe he's a zuccini...... I don't understand any of them.

BugsBunny was way more fun! All of 'em, Foghorn Leghorn, Wiley Coyote, RoadRunner, PePe Le Peu, Tweety, Tasmanian Devil and of course one of my all time favs, Beauregard, the charming and delightful Bloodhound! These were educational!!!

I have a volume 1 Daffy Duck VHS tape complete with schwastika (sp? ) flags and Hitler himself! Someone gave us a whole bunch of old tapes for the girls. I just about fell off the couch! Daffy Duck deep under cover spy in Nazi Germany!

Getting ready for a wedding ...

Beach Jacket and fianc? have decided to get married in 2010 at our church :clap:and have the reception at our home . What I had always dreamed of!:D Doing it in our beautiful church and (don't mean to brag) our architecturally perfect home.:D

Excluding the actual wedding plans, hubby and I did a walk-through today of what we need to do to get the house and yard ready. New landscaping, interior and exterior painting, leveling out an area for a second tent, training Pepper not to poop on the patio (EWWWW!), doing some repairs on the koi pond on the patio, getting a new fountain for the koi pond, calling Brooks Garcia (not the football player ) for his help, etc.:D
