Range of fees to clean an area home

Probably opening a can of worms that I don't mean to. We have plans to rent a home close to the beach in Santa Rosa Beach in April and just learned we'll be picking up the cost to have the home cleaned after we leave. It's not a large home. A 3/2 single story with a private yard. Maybe 1,400 ft^2. Carpet only in the bedrooms.

I don't expect anyone to give exact amounts, perhaps some sort of a range for a home that will already be cleaned by us before we leave, but about to go into a short term rental program for the summer after we leave type of cleaning.

We could launder the sheets, vacuum, etc, but if professional cleaners are going to do it all over again, that would be good to know.

I'm just wanting to know if I need to bring an extra $50 or $500 for planning purposes.

I also apologize to the cleaning companies reading this. We're not looking for a quote as the owner of the home has already chosen their vendor.

Thanks for any responses,

I understand that. I'm hoping to get a feel for how much it might cost. A range if you will. If I think I need $75 and get a bill for $500 I would know to be surprised.
I understand cleaning companies can't always tell you how much because one home will be done in an hour and the next one will be one that a bunch of kids trashed for a few days.

The agency that manages our cottages charges the guest $150. I compared that to what others were charging for cleaning after rentals in our community and that's about the same as others for an 1100 square foot cottage (some were a little more, some a little less but they were all just about the same). You should always know the cleaning fee before you rent a place. It shouldn't be negotiated at the end of the stay. The only time a guest would be charged more would be if they damaged the place or left it a real mess. I don't think we've ever had that happen since 2003. If you're concerned that you might be charged extra, I would take photos of the place when you leave (but I don't think a guest should have to do that). Our guests are asked to bring the trash to the outside, empty the fridge, put all dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher, and just pick up any trash around the place. They seem fine with that. I wouldn't rent a place that didn't give you a clear cleaning fee upfront, especially because just about every rental makes it clear. That doesn't seem to be a good business practice.

Can you clarify? Owner says there is a cleaning fee but it will vary?

Nope. The owner hadn't gotten a quote yet. I assumed it would vary based on size of home, number of beds in use, etc.
Sounds like most people would already know before they got into the rental, which is now the case with me.
Hope to see a couple of you in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the feedback. I got what I needed.

In May, 2 bedroom, Seaside - not their agency - we are being charged $130 plus $14.95 tax. We take out the garbage, empty the clean dishwasher and put away the dishes, and leave the furniture where it was when we arrived. That's all we do. Same in June. Same in September. Ellen
