I really hope repubs don't play like broken record on this. Let the dems raise taxes back to Clinton era levels in return for some major budget cuts/reforms in entitlements.

IMO if it was an exact correlation we wouldn't have such a big deficit.

As part of the group that will be paying these taxes, I am willing to give it a chance. Something has got to give. But, I will be major po'ed if there are not any intelligent cuts in spending as 30Ashopper stated.

The problem is that Congress views any rise in revenue as an invitation to crank up the spending.
