Reasonable rental 6/22-6/25??

Hi, I am looking for a nice, clean place to rent just for 3 nights, for my friend and I. (Destin or Ft walton)We are late 30's-early 40's, non-smokers, and on a budget. I would like to find a place on or very near the beach, close to some restaurants and maybe a little night life, etc. just need a relaxing few days at the beach, without breaking the bank. Can anyone help us?

can't help you on the rentals (no more florida property since the hurricaines), but welcome anyway! i'm sure someone will be along in a while to help you out, just be patient - and i'd definately say destin over fort walton if ft walton is still the same little dirty town it was - nothing much there of any interest except the gulfarium (and i've *loved* that place for 40+ years!)

Oh really? I lived there like 15 years ago (wasn't great then either!) but I figured I will have my car and I can drive the 7 or so miles to Destin if I have to. I would prefer Destin or San Destin for sure. I did get an offer from one owner for $405 for the 3 night stay,(not too bad) but its in Ft Walton. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for Destin. If anyone can help, please! I am so ready to get down there again.. it's been toooooo long, I need my Sowal fix!!! ;-)

Any owners have a last minute cancellation, a place that could possibly sit empty for those dates that they would rather have filled? etc, etc.. please let me know. Two female adults, non-smokers, no children, no pets.. just 30 and 40 somethings wanting to get away from Atlanta traffic for a few days and chill out in Destin (or near) ON the beach. Please Help!!
