Recycling

Is there anywhere near Seagrove that takes recycling? I know in the past I have used the blue dropoff bins. I don't know where they are located. Do they take all plastics or just #1 & #2?

There's a blue county trailer in the Watercolor staff parking lot behind Publix on 395. That's a little closer to Seagrove than the one at Bay Elementary in Point Wash.

I think they take 1,2, and 5 plastics, but I don't know for sure. Sorry, I don't have the link, but there's a recycling page on the Walton County govt. web site with details. Don't be confused by the web site, though, if it still says the Watercolor trailer is at the fire station. It's really behind Publix.

In front of Publix, there are green bins for plastic bags, paper bags, and styrofoam containers. Not the county, that's something Publix is doing.

Publix also has great grocery tote bags (made from old plastic bags) you can use instead of the standard paper or plastic!

Besides being good for the environment, they are much sturdier and more convenient than the standard bags. Instead of tons of the flimsy bags you have a few bags w/ comfy handles and reinforced flat bottoms!

I didn't know Publix had the sturdier bags. I will need to pay more attention. Thanks!

I know the Watercolor Publix has them. Think it's like $1-2 a bag, but don't know for sure.

I had a bunch of the wine bags saved up and the manager let me trade them for the grocery bags.

How about recycle for phone books?
