Referee$ for U$98 $occer!

Do you know some of the basics of soccer??
How to blow a whistle? How to put one foot in front of the other? How to look extremely stylish in a striped Referee shirt (stripes are in right now, I think)?

Then you are who we are looking for!

US98 Soccer, Greater South Walton's non-profit, community-driven and community-run soccer organization, has openings for Referees for U-8, U-12, and U-18 matches.

Compensation is $10.00 per match (you could earn up to $30.00 in one Saturday of Matches or roughly 3-4 hours of Refereeing!), but the most rewarding parts are being out in the beautiful weather, teaching our youth, helping our community (especially the local Youth Soccer community), and getting some exercise in the process.

Even if you don't feel like you know that much, we'll teach you!

Great questions, Kurt! (And thank you for the follow up questions on information I left out.)

This will be for our current Spring 2009 Season. Which means we have Matches every Saturday through May 30th. (However, if we get a large enough pool of Referees, your commitment may not be for every Saturday.) Typical match times are starting at 9:00AM up to our last starting match time around 12:00 noon. Matches are played at Helen McCall Park (next to St. Rita's Catholic Church) and WaterSound (just north of Hwy. U.S.98 and Camp Creek Golf Course).

Please do not hesitate to ask any more questions. We'd love to have more people from the community involved with Greater South Walton's fastest growing, most successful youth sport!

US98 Soccer is offering two Referee Clinics this Friday, May 1st and Tuesday, May 5th, both at 5:00PM at Helen McCall Park.

We hope as many people as possible will participate, and will find these Clinics enlightening and empowering. Also, attend one or both, and you will be qualified to Referee some of Our Local Youth's exciting recreational soccer matches!

No fee, except to open your ears, open your mind, and let "The Beautiful Game" into your soul. DO NOT MISS IT!!
