Releasing FCAT information?

My 9 year old received a letter from Sen. Gaetz and a certificate from his son acknowledging my son's scores on last year's FCAT. Can anyone tell me how they know this information? Did I give permission for them to get it? While my son will get a kick out of receiving the letter, I think there is a privacy issue to be concerned about.

I got a letter from the governor congratulating my son on his test scores. Nice. But not really what we need to hear. Would rather hear about having an opportunity for a selected school Superintendent and budgets for all the good things education should provide.

If individual test scores are part of Sunshine law, it needs to be changed. Now.

Go to every school board meeting you can attend! Ask questions of your elected officials! Hold them accountable!

I understand them. If they have never seen or experienced better, they don't recognize the mediocrity that is Walton County schools.

My daughter got a letter congratulating her on FCAT science score.

She didn't take an FCAT science test last year.

It's taped to the refrigerator so we can laugh at it.

I was told by Sen. Gaetz' office that the school district ( read Mrs. Anderson) provides the FCAT lists to them. I know I have to deal with a form at the beginning of the school year that allows my son's picture to be in the yearbook, etc. what I did not realize is that it could be used to further political agendas.
