Ok. My roommate and I are currently moving to the duplex next door. I know it sounds dumb but the women will understand (larger living space, separate dining room, larger driveway, etc.)

Anyways, over the last month her boyfriend has been TEMPORARILY living with us until he found a place in Nashville (moved from another city). He told us he would give us $200 cash each for letting him stay. He has found his own place now with rent of his own...but I need to pay my rent too!

I don't know how to bring it up to either one of them because it is a touchy situation. I really need that money! I don't know if they forgot or what!? How do I handle this?

BTW- My roommate is going to be in-and-out of town for two weeks so she will be really stressed out and will taking the LSAT. Yikes!

Whitey, I had a similar situation with a roomate. I would just politely say "so and So, do think that you could pay me the $200 that you said you would give me for letting you bunk with me? I really need it, to pay my rent". Honesty works best whitey, just tell him like it is...

Me too. I am a wuss. But I agree with KDW's approach -- it sounds very reasonable to me. I bet he had to pay first and last month's rent in getting his new apartment and he's probably hoping you won't bring it up.

He'a a very understanding guy and he is so easy to get along with. While he was job hunting he would wash our clothes, clean the house, wash the dishes, etc. So I wonder if they feel he's "worked" off his $200.

sounds like a good "wife"...maybe you should keep him around....:lolabove:
Still...money is money...and if you made an agreement....:idontno: no harm in reminding him ;-) (nicely, as I know you will!)

Tell him to pay up or you are going to beat his a**. If that doesn't work tell him you are going to send the goon squad after him.

Or I can just get him drunk and steal it out of his wallet. :floor:
