I don't want to insult the 3 people on Sowal that voted for our current felon Governor, but apparently he is on his way to "unmaking" Florida a swing state in 2012...

I wouldn't count him out until the dysfunctional Florida Democrats field a viable candidate (or a Republican challenges him). Scott enjoys the same position Obama does-not too many warm bodies across the aisle ready and able $$$ to unseat him. I find it interesting that DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz of Florida is cheerleading the economic recoverery (seemingly in an alternative universe to pundits on both sides of the aisle), so I'm not too sure the Democrats can produce an 'it's the economy, stupid' campaign here. To beat Scott, a candidate must convert the Tea Party folks and die hard Republicans they are a better fit. That will be tough.

On the flip side, the Mormon corporate raider is polling v. well down here, so as long as they can distance themselves from Scott and the RPOF cesspool (federal grand jury investigation, represent!) their presidental candidate could be surprisingly strong despite the Scott follies.

Here is how Florida stays blue and Scott loses: Frame ALL Republicans as being proponents of altering medicare. You want to see seniors reject someone at the ballot box, all you have to do is scare them that medicare or social security benefits are at risk. Those tea party 'patriots' can pat Scott on the back all day long as he line itmes stuff, but God help him if he or anyone else gets in the way of a zero co-pay doctor visit and and endless Viagra. I'm not saying it is ethical, but it will work. Politricks.

As an interesting aside, I just heard on my local NPR station (WFSU) that, although Florida has been financially backing WFSU for 35 years, "Gov. Rick Scott" decided to veto the $400,000 that would have normally gone to help present quality public radio programming. I now wonder where I'm going to get my unbiased radio news about what a wonderful job "Gov. Rick Scott" is doing?

These political predictions are rarely right.

Don't even think of counting your chickens until we know who the opponent is.

If people like the product they will respond to one of the countless fund raising drives that the station conducts. But there is no reason for the taxpayers of the state to be giving them 400,000. I applaud the Governor for sticking to his principles.

It is a sad commentary but true that the generation that got us into this mess refuses to help one iota to provide the solution.
