We visited with her and her gang on Thursday. She does love it here. I'm happy to say we had a beer or two together....what a gem she is! (like a ruby red gem) she was burnt!

I never got to see jdarg. She was busy and I sure understand that. I did talk to her though.

Kathy, we plan to move to SoWal in the future. That's how much we love it.

D: RED BAR! We are here hot as HELL! Crowded! Sitting outside! (I love that some things never change!)

I truly love it when Darlene is in SoWal. I can feel her joy!

The Red Bar was AWESOME as always. We chose to sit on the patio rather than wait an hour for a table. I can honestly say I have never been so hot in my life. Even every day on the beach was not as hot as we were on that patio. The Mojito and Miller light I drank helped. A LOT! A few fans scattered about would go a long way out there. With that being said, our meal was delicious as usual. I got my most favorite meal of all time again. The blackened grouper on a grit cake. I LOVE it! Despite the heat, it was wonderful!

So glad you and the girls got to come and see me. It was a wonderful visit. Glad we got to sit and chat and drink a beer together! Yes, I did miss a few spots with my sunscreen application and was burned in some areas. I actually had some sun poisoning going on on parts of legs. Was not pleasant at all. I shall be more careful next time that is for sure.

We had a wonderful week. Great food, Great people, Great place. I noticed that our little piece of paradise has certainly been discovered. I don't recall ever seeing it that crowded. We asked Ann at our rental agency when we checked it how business was. She said it was busier than it had ever been. I believe it. I could certainly feel the locals pain as we made our way to Seaside to go to Great Southern and Sun Dog books and to Grayton Beach to go to the Red Bar. WOW, lots of people...a whole lot of people! I even got a little claustrophobic. Was very glad to be back at the condo each time we ventured out.

Hate I didn't get to see some of my peeps, but if I were you I wouldn't have wanted to get out with some of the crazy people on those roads. Next time hopefully.

Some of the highlights of this years trip: Saw a Sea Turtle really close to shore, Saw lots of Dolphins frolicking, took some great Pelican pics, Star Gazing, Beautiful water, Gorgeous sun rises and sunsets. Great people, food and funn. All that it should be.

358 days until our next Summer Vacation!

I have a whole of pics that I need to get organized. Will get them posted as soon I have some time.

p.s. I do believe Kelly and I will be back in September celebrating our birthday with a very special SoWaler. Details later.

Yesterday was probably one of the best days ever here. The weather and water was perfect!

Last night was spaghetti night. We all fixed something and ate on our beautiful bluff looking out on the most beautiful beach God created. It was magical.

It was an early night to bed for me. I was sooo tired from all the fun in the sun and water. Slept great and up very early this morning to start my day. Looks like another post card day at the beach. I just can't put into words how I feel when I am here!
