Johnrudy, I swear that our Butter and your John were separated at birth! Butter has the exact same coloring as John and his nose also has that pinkish/black in the center rimmed in black. Butter has been watching the Australian sheepdog trials on tv late at night. When the dogs run, he leaps straight up in the air repeatedly, barking once when he's at eye-level with the plasma screen. He exhibits a decided preference for the black-and-white dogs. 'Tis dog gone funny!

I've never had a dog that has ever noticed anything or another dog on tv! So Butter is a jumper. I love it when I see a dog who jumps straight up!

John's nose used to be solid brown but he has this nervous habit of licking it a lot of the time, so some of the brown is worn off, if that's possible. Ha! He is a sweetie but his arthritis has been flaring up terribly the last week. He's on pain relief meds. It's sad to watch him slow down. Rudy walks over and sniffs him and wants to play. (This pic of John is recent, and his fur now has that "aged" look.)
