Can I skip August 21st? On that day I took my mother to the doctor, and he is recommending a nursing home (she said she'd rather kill herself). When I got home, I got a letter from my doctor saying that I have a medical condition that will cause me major lifestyle changes. :'(

I had to put my mom in a nursing home when she was 63. She told me the same thing. However, it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to her. She was happier there for the last 2 years of her life, than I had seen her in 20+ years.

Your doctor wrote you a letter to tell you this BR? He couldn't call you into his office? Why? I hope you will be ok.

He was trained at Mayo Clinic. Instead of calling you, they always put everything in a formal letter with attachments explaining your condition.
