We spent the weekend at an idyllic northern Indiana lake not far from Chicago, so we got the Chicago paper on Sunday (nice to have a different perspective on the world every now and then ;-) ). There was a column in the Sunday Living section called "Snoop Patrol" where they interviewed a celebrity and rounded out the article with a questionnaire. Since we haven't had one on SoWal for a while, I thought I'd post it here. I'll go first!
1. One thing on your nightstand.
A fine layer of dust
2. One thing on a wall in your living room.
A small oil painting in a gold frame
3. Three condiments we would find in your fridge.
Catsup, Dijon mustard, Texas bar-b-que sauce
4. Three things we would find in your medicine cabinet.
Contact lens solution, Q-tips, antiperspirant, unless one of the kids has swiped it (when oh when does school start back up again????)
5. Do dirty dishes go in the sind or the dishwasher?
Neither. They go on the countertop above the dishwasher. At least that's where the kids put them.
6. Maker of your everyday dishes.
Crate & Barrel
7. Maker of your fine china.
Are you talking about the Royal Doulton, the Spode, or the Noritake?
8. If you had to save one "thing" from your home, what would it be?
The pair of photos on Merman's nightstand, the one of me with my brother when we were little, and the photo of Alex and Fyl at the same age--it's uncanny the way we all have the exact same expressions and poses even though the photos were taken more than 30 years apart!
9. What music have you been listening to at home lately?
Bluegrass and slide guitar music (Kelly Joe Phelps in particular)
10. What reading material would we find in your bathroom?
None at all because it's all piled up under my nightstand, stacks and stacks of it all waiting to be read.

I have been waiting to use that line. :funn:
