Going to a Pig Pickin' today and grilling ribs and chicken tomorrow... Good chance some of your Summer Beer will be made tomorrow for the cookout.

There must be something in the water in Dallas. My sis loves to gamble too and wins (Kitty, remember the time she was in Southern Vanity Magazine because she won so much?). I normally lose all I'd planned to spend in the first 15 minutes. Y'all have fun!

My weekend? Due to dementia, Mom won't let the assisted-living salon cut her hair. So yesterday I told her I was taking her to lunch. When we got out of the car, she thought she was going into a restaurant. It was a beauty salon. She was VERY resistant, but afterwards she loved having everyone tell her pretty she looked and wanted to put some lipstick on. LOL. Then I took her to lunch.

Gonna get together with our daughter and JP, and on Monday we're going to the Memorial Day cookout at her AL-home so she will have family with her.

BR, I am only taking a minimal amount. If it gets gone, I'm outta there!
Sweet story about your mom. Reminds me of my sweet Jackie that didn't want her hair cut. Enjoy your family time.

I might be having grilled squirrel if they don't quit eatin' all the bird seed out of the feeder.

No sh!t about the squirrels. I don't even call it a bird feeder anymore.

No big plans. The Mr. works and we pretty much gang up around the grill and drink beer every day of the week, so it's all good.

Kind of pining for Georgia and all the folks that come together on holiday weekends. Have a good one everybody!!

Holy crap. The tourists are killing me. Tried to hang out on Holiday Isle in Destin and it was like friggin' Mardi Gras or something.

Of course, that didn't keep me from soaking up the sun (like I need a tan) and delighting in being a local.

Water's bathtub warm. At least I THINK it's the water - might be all the tourists taking leaks in it.

Of course, if there are any tourists reading this...uh...we love you. Don't ever leave.

We spent Saturday out at the campgrounds with our oldest sonwho wasthere for the weekend. Sunday we had a baby shower/picnic for our friends whose baby was born 3 months early and came home on Good Friday. Yesterday I put in a hot water tank at my youngest son's house and then had a cookout for our middle son's birthday. Busy weekend. I need to go back to work to relax.

We had lots of fun hanging at the pool with family and friends, cooked out, caught Bridesmaids with the girlfriends, celebrated hubby's bday yesterday, back to the saltmines today but at least I'm on countdown to SoWal!!!!
