I have about two dozen little bump bites on my legs, arms, and hands combined, some are clustered up together. They are not mesquito bites, they are small and itchy and are not going away as quickly as most bug bites go away on me. I got them on Friday day and night and maybe some on Saturday morning loading up to go home. They are less itchy now but still bumpy and red. Any ideas what got me and what to treat them with? I'm already taking anihistamines for allergy issues so that may be why I'm not as itchy but I'd like these nasty little bumps to go away!!

I don't know, but the first thing that comes to mind is what I saw on t.v. the other day. Bed bugs are a real infestation problem again. They leave red bumps wherever they have have been. They do not carry disease, they are just a very big yucy nuisance and so small you can't see them. Just a thought.,

Could be bed bugs but more likely flea or spider.

"Loading up to go home" - were you staying somewhere at a rental? If so then probably fleas. Let the rental owner know and if you had any pets with you they are likely infested now.

Bedbug bites will ooze a clear liquid out of the middle and harden over if not itched. They resemble oversized mosquito bites.

We rented a log cabin up in Gatlinburg, TN that was infested. Make sure you sterilize everything before bringing anything into your home. They are a nightmare to kill.

Bedbugs or fleas

Bedbugs and fleas will get into your things or on your pets and infest your home. Before bringing you belongings in side I would stop at a medical clinic and see what they say. Flease are easier to kill, but you still don't want to get them in your home. Bed bugs as Andrew G said will infest your home and are VERY hard to kill and you have to get an exterminator out to do it. They are big problems in several states right now with bed bugs. Thankfully Florida was not one of them, but that does rule them out. Fleas usually bite you on the feet and legs as you sleep or if they are in the carpet. As Kurt said if you had pets with you , you need to make sure they have no fleas and if so get rid of them before you go home. Otherwise they will get in your carpet and bedding to. Either way, I'd check with someone before bringing my belongings inside. Was anyone sleeping with you. If so and they did not get the bites than it is a totally different story. Good luck and keep up posted. Sorry that happened to you on your trip and I hope you are well.

Isn'n that disgusting. Bedbugs have become a real problem again in many states although we are not yet one of them. Thank goodness. They are really disgusting but do not carry any disease. I only know about how bad they are now from watching something about them on t.v. It is a little scary how easy they spread and how hard they are to kill. We have enough bugs here outside that eat us up we don't need bedbugs or fleas in the house.

Late arrival here, but if those bumps are between your fingers and itch worse at night, you have scabies. This is another mite that is commonly picked up in hotels-it burrows into the skin, classically involving the area around the belly button, waist and arms, really digging in between the fingers. You need to get a Rx for a topical miticide, wash your clothes in hot water/sanitary cycle, and bulky items like pillows should be sealed in a plastic garbage bag for one week (and the mites die). Really a pain.

Chiggers? Hopefully not bed bug bites. :idontno:

We just moved to the area 8/1 and my daughter suffered the same symptons... the first week... we were out on the deck around 4pm and attacked by "yellow flies" omg they hurt.. Anyway.. I didn't get much of a reaction after the first 24hours..but she was scratching ...and itching those bites a good week.... Now when we see one.. lol we run back into the house.
