Songs of the Summer

[Ocean Lover]

I know! We are old! I know who Justin is (blech) and Jessica (double blech). I do like Fergie though. What is X-tina? And I have heard of Nelly F. but don't know the music.

Double L loser here.

Then you would know Christina Aguilera.

I know who most of them are (and I'm in complete agreement with your assessments of their talent) but I don't have a clue about the actual songs. Lately I've been listening to jazz and trying to relax.

On the other hand, I was listening to Shakira several years ago (loved Objection Tango!)

One and the same as X-tina? Ugh - I need to get out more!

UM, JT - I'm gonna really date myself here, but that will always be James Taylor to me - LOL!

Guilty pleasures:

Britney Spears - Toxic
Christina Aguilera - What A Girl Wants

(Don't like anything else by either of them except for Christina's awesome rendition of Leon Russell's "A Song for You" that she recorded with Herbie Hancock.)

Well, my 15 yo played Sexyback and I thought I was gonna faint! He loves it and has it on his myspace page. This is a kid who is so against boy band-type music or the "top 40" music. He's a Prodigy fan or Collective Soul fan! But it IS summer music.

I do not like Justin Timberlake.
