South Walton Seahawks Girls Soccer Win Division??

I am having a hard time finding the information (imagine that about soccer), but looks like the SWHS girls are doing their part to make our South Walton Community proud by winning The District!!

Sounds like the girls have taken this Mia Hamm, the great former US Womens Soccer Player, quote to heart, “I am building a fire, and everyday I train, I add more fuel. At just the right moment, I light the match.”

Look forward to following the action as they light the match at Regionals!

From the NorthWest Florida Daily: "Pensacola Catholic 1, South Walton 0: The second-seeded Seahawks (8-6-2) lost a heartbreaker Friday in the District 1-3A tournament finals.
Top-seeded Pensacola Catholic scored in the first half, and that goal stood up.
With its runner-up finish, South Walton advances to regional play. The Seahawks will play Thursday at Florida High."

South Walton Girls (with 10 Freshmen!) win their first Regional match-up, against Florida High, 2-1. And now they get a re-match this Tuesday night of the District Final against Pensacola Catholic.

An improbable comeback from 2-0 down to tie it and send it to extra time and then a shootout. A undoubtedly heart-breaking loss in the shootout.

BUT, the Greater South Walton Community could not be prouder!!!
