I live on Mack Bayou and have noticed a distinct change in the taste and smell of my tap water. I taste acrid... the smell reminds me of the mosquito fumigation trucks. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, our water started to smell like sulphur around the end of August, beginning of September if I am remembering correctly. There was never any smell at all previously. We are off of 393N and have well water.

I'm no expert but a lot of ground water in SoWal has sulfur in it. Your well may be pulling deeper water now, or maybe due to heavy rains - just guessing.
When we had a well, we had an 80 gal pressure tank which eliminated the odor.

Call regional utilities. Drinking water should not drastically change flavor or smell.
