GTTBM, you could be describing MY parents! Except in our family it's my mother who is always sneaking the extra food samples. My father has to watch her like a hawk when they go to Costco.

Would they like to share a meal with us at the Seagrove Market, do you think? We walk up there for dinner/brunch, and we'll be back to the beach for a week starting next Saturday. I think we'd all have a good time together!

They need to submit beach reports- sounds like theirs would be a riot!

Well...... let me just say this about that. My daughter is actually posting a blog about the pending new addition. My FIL called me the other day. He was asking how she was doing. I told him he should check out her blog to see the latest pics and updates. He said "no, I'd rather read that thing on the internet she writes on."

I'm not sure they could figure the board out. I'll call them later and try and talk him through it! We'll see.;-)

OK Nana and PaPa arrived yesterday. They will be in SoWal for 3 weeks. Be on the lookout for the white Mercedes SUV on 30-a. It may appear no one is driving it. That's just Nana.....she's just real short and won't use a booster seat. 'Nough said.

They will be hitting the Seagrove market (hopefully, not literally) for lunch everyday! Should have warned them to stock up on chicken fingers! They even have a frequent eaters card that they have from the last trip.

You may see them in the PUBLIX. Nana will be swatting PaPa for indulging in the free samples. Especially if they are handing out free wine. He will sometimes try and disguise himself to sneak back for more! They may possibly clog up the peanut butter aisle while Nana reads the nutritional lable on each and every jar, before throwing the store brand in her cart and rolling on!

May sound like we don't love these 2. We do......but we love all you folks too. Just wanted to give you fair warning, Nana and PaPa are in the house!!!!
:lolabove: Ever see the episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond" where the father tastes/steals grapes at the grocery store?

GTTBM..................lets get them on the board!!!! that would be a hoot! I hope they have a great time.

Oh yes! We went to the FreshMarket with them last trip to Asheville. They have the clear bins with all sorts of snacky type foods. Saw PaPa open one and grab a HANDFUL and he started munching out! He asked, "want some?" I asked, "aren't you supposed to have it weighed and pay for it first?" "Oh no! They let you have FREE samples!" Well one man's sample is another's meal, I guess. He just munched around. Happy as a Lark! :floor:
