SoWal Sponsors for Seaside Half Marathon?

I don't know how many SoWallers are running either the 5k or Half Marathon but I thought maybe SoWallers would like to collectively be a sponsor of the race. The relatively easy to obtain levels would be either $100, which gets a small sneaker sign, $500, which is a large mile marker sign, which is very visible or $1000 (Silver Sponsor) which is pretty dang optimistic.

All of the proceeds go to the Seaside Neighborhood School.
It wouldn't have to be collectively; I just thought it would be cool to band together and get a mile marker sign! The Logo could be painted on the mile marker sign!

Let me know your thoughts! I know a few of you are individual sponsors already but for those of you who are not and want to sponsor, please respond. We have enough people running to form a team!

Will Seaside let us lowly non residents be sponsors? Based on all of the signs posted I would think they want to exlcude us from that. Oh wait, they'll take our $$$ they just don't want to see us in their town.

And another opinion... Kurt allows us to play here FREE I wouldnt expect him to jump in unless he just wanted to.

I don't know how to work this. Do we aim for a mile marker sponsor - $500. and send the money to Kurt, who then writes one check to the school? I would think this would be an obtainable goal. Maybe some have the opportunity to give more and others less but I think it would be a great way to band together as SoWal!
