I'm in a funk because (a) Mom's dementia has been getting exponentially worse in the past few weeks , and (b) although it was fun seeing our daughter this weekend, I miss her so much when we leave her that it takes me a while to stop feeling like my heart is going to break.

TMI. But no wonder they call us the "Sandwich Generation."

BR, just know that your daughter will alway's be your daughter no matter what, and no matter how far away you are from her. She is alway's with you. My daddy is far away, but he is alway's close in my heart and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I am and will alway's be his daughter and close to him. Enjoy some things you like to do to get your mind off of missing her and know that you will see her again soon. I am wishing you happy feelings!!!! OH, and I am sorry about your mom also, I wish for you strength and peace to get through this with her!!!!
