Speaking of Black Friday: the xmas wish list

This Wii this is super ridiculous. After explaining it to Will, I think he gets it. Nintendo has "bundled" it with some other stuff that you have to have and 2 retailers told me it was probably going to go for about $600. Then the games are $50 each. I was advised to buy as many as I can get my hands on, because I will be able to at least double my money reselling. Sorry, but it isn't worth it to me to kill myself getting one, then totally gouge someone else to pay for mine. Screams of icky.

Right. I hate it when people on Ebay do that. TMX Elmo is a prime example. It's just kind of sad that many kids won't get one because they can't afford to pay the astonomical prices people are asking. Sounds like the Wii is like the Xbox 360 last year.

what does anyone really need anymore? if you are like most folks, if you want or need something, you just go get it. I just want a massively gorgeous Christmas tree and lots of good food and wine, and my friends and family. Santa Clause will definitely come and bring too much stuff, but spidey asks for things that I have no idea about: a big remote control rocket (he made this up), a big castle that has a dragon and knights in shining armor and the castle gets destroyed by some people but then you can build it back, and stuff like that. oh, and an airport.

made the mistake of letting him watch disney or some kids channel the other day - it was loaded with all kinds of commercials. suddenly he was asking for stuff he's never even known about.

sounds like lego's to me

OR it could be this castle. Clicky. When they first came out Dylan wanted it for Christmas. It was different then and VERY complicated to build. Definite parental help required. It did and still does have the cutest accessories. Toots, this is an improved version that seems good. My kids watched Nick and Disney and would have a list a mile long because of it.:bang: I do miss buying fun stuff like this though.

The wife wanted a new dining room set so we went down to Amish country this past weekend and found what she wanted and bought it. All oak furniture and it should be delivered the week before Christmas. That was her big gift but I also got her a ticket to go out to Vegas to see our son and her adopted parents before Christmas. She has been shopping for months to get stuff for the grandkids but that is about it.

gosh  they get stuck up your nose anyway

:funn:

Jesse is getting a computer so that when I want to get on mine, I can. ;-)

I think what tootsie said sums it up for me. If we want something we just go and get it. So the food, family, friends is all I want to be surrounded by on Christmas. I don't even really care about the decorations. Just family and friends around me. Plus, it gives me a good excuse to cook a big meal and eat with gusto!!!!

I thought the TMX Elmo was easier to get now:idontno: If not, I am just getting one of the other Elmos. My 6 month old nephew isn't going to know the difference. Besides, with all that falling down and up, I am afraid it will hurt him anyway. That Elmo looks drunk.

Toots, I watched Nickolodean the other day with my nephew and there were so many commercials. I couldn't believe they started so early this year.

that is cute. except I try to avoid big plastic toys of any kind, but this looks exactly like what he's asking for. I'll have to explore this further! Thanks for the link.:D
