Sports for kids?

Just wondering - what sport programs are there for kids down there? Through the county, YMCA, etc. I'm sure you have baseball, football, softball. I guess what I'm trying to ask - Is there lacrosse or soccer? My oldest son has just started lacrosse up here in Georgia and loves it. My girls love soccer and tennis. We are still exploring the possibility of relocating there.

No lacrosse here as far as I know. Some very talented soccer players throughout the Panhandle, multiple travel teams if you want them, and the South Walton HS girls team qualified for regionals this year. I'm pretty sure there are some good tennis programs at Sandestin or Tops'l that are youth-friendly.

Thank you - I guess we'll sign up for surfing and fishing:clap:

My boys just love to fish!!!

Of course there is The Beautiful Game, soccer, ([ame="http://www.sowal.com/bb/showthread.php?t=20361"]Youth Soccer - Spring 2008! - SoWal Beaches Forum[/ame]), and baseball and football.

But, your kids will have a great time also learning to surf, and Ryan DeVore has a surf and skim school called "Surf and Skim" (www.surfandskimskool.com).
