Spring is Here!

I know bunnies have shown up elsewhere recently blink: ), but spring is starting a little bit here in Louisville!

Saw the first blooming daffodils yesterday!

Our bluebird couple is working on their bluebird box ( the third year for them! ), and sitting in the tree closest to the house- they want me to go to the bird store and get their mealworms!

What few plants the dogs haven't trampled to death are starting to come up, including the herbs- yum!

Buds are on the plum and crabapple trees!

The Kentucky Derby is getting almost daily mention now- that is a true sign of spring here.
There is LOTS more daylight it seems. :clap_1:

Anyone else have spring yet?

Well, we've had it most of the winter and last night, we had the strangest phenomenon--rain. Lots of stuff was budding out--but then we had a little cold snap and kinda stunted everything. Always happens...

Oh my gosh...I really can't wait for spring. We just had a cold front push through here. It's in the 20's this weekend. No signs up here.

You got it! I wish I liked them- have to have had a gallon of something else before I can drink one of these. Do y'all like them?

n a few weeks, I will have all the fresh mint anyone wants. I should open a U-Pick mint farm for mint juleps.

bourbon, simple syrup, fresh mint over crushed ice- preferably in a julep cup.

If yoo go to the Derby, you buy them in souvenir glasses, then try to drunkenly carry a stack of glassware to your car at the end of the day.

SJ- didn't you go to the Derby once? Did you have a mint julep? Or were you trying to dodge puking people?
