You got it! I wish I liked them- have to have had a gallon of something else before I can drink one of these. Do y'all like them?
I
n a few weeks, I will have all the fresh mint anyone wants. I should open a U-Pick mint farm for mint juleps.

BLECH they are so nasty!! My daughters softball team makes a killing by working a beer booth on Derby day. So we aren't the only ones who pass on them. Do you go to the Derby or Oaks Jen-ay? We all prefer Oaks day.

Actually I like everything leading up to Derby more than the Derby. But I digress ...bring on spring!!!

I stay away from both these days actually! I'm like you- I like the 2 weeks leading up to Derby Day. I heard that Thursday is the good day at the track now- Oaks day used to be- more locals, fewer giant ugly hats and puking people.

I hear you girl, puking people and open toed shoes don't mix well. Have you been to the track since they finished rennovations? The Turf Club is lovely and so the Jockey Suites. It's very pretty, but they've built up so much around the spires that it dwarfs them.

No, I'm afraid that I will cry when I see the renovation for the first time. I know thy had to do it, but couldn't they just build a new building on the other side of the track for all the people that don't care about history and tradition?

I wish they'd done that as well jdarg. It's weird to walk out of some of those suites and you are literally eye to eye with the spires. From some places on the track you won't be able to see them for the buildup around them.
