Fall Break for Alabama and Georgia.

Also, I have a theory that most people log on to SoWal.com when they are at work, based on the low participation on the weekends. :D Sure, there could be other reasons, but this theory is more fun to believe.

 Wish I had time at work! Sometimes, I do check in for a minute, but it's rare when I have time to post. I like to think it's slow here on the weekends cuz everybody's at the beach or in a bar somewhere!

Quiet sounds wonderful! I am headed down early next week and can't wait for some good beach time without crowds. We are at the height of harvest in our area, so lots of visitors and traffic. We dodge speeding rogue grape trucks for about six weeks and wake up to the roar of wind machines (because of early frost) all around us. The wind machines sound like a 747 landing behind one's house. It is beautiful here this time of year, but I always look forward to escape time during my favorite month at Grayton.

Are you still having the red tide situation? Can we safely eat shellfish? Will I need a reservation at Borago for a party of six? This inquiring mind needs to know!

Donna,

Have a great time this upcoming week. It is a long trip for you and I'm sure you will make it well worth it. Please let us know how the weather, red tide, and your stay is in paradise.

I think the quiet part is in regards to the message board. Grayton had too many people on it yesterday. I went for a little peace and quiet, but did not stay because of the crowd.

So you are making the Grape Escape?
