Suspect in JonBenet murder arrested

New posts
The Ramsey's live around the corner from me and I also years ago went to church with the. I cant say that I really knew them well but I can say that every week the minister said a prayer in church for them. He felt they were innocent from the beginning and knew the entire family personally.
The media would block the streets trying to get to them year ago just to display the monsters they thought they were.

Personally I think I was influenced by the media. It thought they were guilty and felt uncomfortable in church when the minister spoke of them. I don't think I could ever apologize to the family enough for my thoughts. I think the media should take some time and do some sort of dedication to the family. They went though a lot losing their daughter to then have to deal with everyone thinking they had something to do with it. I feel a little embarrassed that I judged.

I always felt the parents were innocent of the actual murder, but (and I say this in hopes no one will be offended) does anyone else think that if Patsy Ramsey had not subjected that child to wearing makeup and lipstick, having her ears pierced and being paraded around dressed like a STREETWALKER - as a five-year-old, this freak might never have found out who she was?

When I see kindergarten-aged girls thrust into beauty competitions a la JonBenet, it makes me want to vomit.

I don't blame Patsy Ramsey for the child's death, but I have to wonder if JonBenet might still be with us had she been allowed to live a life a five-year-old should have been living.

you have done nothing wrong. I don't know that much about the case, but I do know that certain pieces of evidence that were reported in the media always made me think that something was very fishy (steele mama's words) indeed. I still think so...

This is a quote from the article I read from the guy who claims to have accidentally killed her:

(He said Karr insisted his crime was not first-degree murder but that she died during a kidnapping attempt that went awry.

"He said it was second-degree murder. He said it was unintentional. He said he was in love with the child, she was a pageant queen," Suwat said.)

I think there may be a lot of validity in your comment but I dont want to judge anyone. Maybe she would have been exposed in other ways if not pageants, but it does look like it is a huge possibility.

Thanks, but I still have to look a little harder on how I can jump to assumptions sometimes. This sick person lived in GA and followed them to Colorado. He even got a job out there town as a 2nd grade teacher. Its scary, he stalked them all the way to Colorado.

I agree. Something about this whole thing stinks. The guy seems a little to eager to share his confession. He is too fourthcoming, too glib. Something is not right.

Nothing but a gut feeling, but something tells me he isn't the only one involved.

There is speculation among the media that this might be this guy's 15 minutes of fame and that some of his comments, it turns out, were common knowledge after all.

No one has even confirmed that he was even in Boulder at that time. We'll have to wait on the DNA results. Very strange that he is coping to 2nd degree murder because it was an "accident". The ransom note??????? All too weird!

He could also just be obsessed with her and the whole case. I'll wait until the DNA proves it to rejoice that they have the murderer.

These horrible things happen to children that aren't in pageants as well.
I believe strongly that children should be child like. I think all of us with adorable children and or grandchildren could put costumes and make-up on them and put them in the adult world. (acting, modeling or pageants) I feel any child ushered into that world by her parents is to be pitied.

We are supposed to protect our chlidren. Let them be children, they have the rest of their lives to make those choices for themselves. Too bad little JonBenet's life was cut short before she was old enough to make those decisions for herself.
