Going Green: It is Easier Than You Think!
"It's not easy being green" isn't true any more since the doors swung open at Green Central Station, a one-stop shop for green building. The owners are presenting a home efficiency program at 7pm, Sept. 25, for the South Walton Community Council.
The program, one of SWCC's monthly educational forums, will be at the Coastal Branch Library. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
Items explained:
*How to measure your home's energy performance and save money.
*How to improve the indoor air quality of your home.
*How to prevent mold.
*What types of insulation are best for any construction project.
*The difference between a "green" building program and an energy efficient one.
*Whether solar energy is a viable option for your home.
Presenters are: John Adkins, Rodney Dickey and Anthony Vallee. They are certified in Home Energy Rating, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Florida Green Build Coalition (FGBC), air conditioning, indoor air quality, and geo-exchange design.
