Tan course sand

Have you noticed the tan sand washing ashore at present? It has not been in the surf zone long, and is course and abrasive to barefoot runners. You can see it all along the beach and the line is clearly distinguishable.
As the sand in this area migrates from east to west, my guess is that it is Panama city beach restoration sand.
Proof that in the environment, you can never do just one thing. Everything you do has many other unintended consequenses.

for as long as i can remember this has happened. and even before pcb began dredging. i think thats a question for a geologist and a good question it would be.
