Glad to see Amelie win this one. She's always been an incredible talent and entertaining player whose biggest weakness was between her ears. And she seems well-liked by her peers and has answered a lot of questions about her appearance and lifestyle choices over the years with grace and class.

Hurrah for the long-time head case who is finally putting together the kind of year she's always had the potential for.

Well, I missed it this morning. Turned it on in time to see Mauresmo won the watch! Does anyone else think her face looks like a man's? Is she from France also or what? I was wanting Sharapova to get into the finals but it seems she always falls short one way or the other. Got knocked out in semi's.
I think she looks like Todd Rundgren!

Just imagine the hair pulled back in a skin tight pony

:idontno: Hee Hee! We had always thought she looked questionable as to her lifestyle choices. But to each his own!

I was impressed with her speech after the match...not exactly word for word..."No one can say anything about my nerves now"....:D She played very well...and had some awesome shots! Justine did well with her net play...trying to beat Amelie at her own game.

OMG! That was my first thought when I saw her. She totally looks like a guy who has had a sex change operation. I've never seen a female with such a manly jaw, not to mention the broad shoulders.

OK Allifunn, it is time for the men's final, coming up in 20 minutes and it is 7:40 here. Go Nadal. Husband feels sure Nadal is going to lose to Federer though on the grass surface. It is a faster surface which benefits Federer in every way he says. He thinks Nadal will get drummed! I at least want him to make Federer work for it, if he can't beat him,a 5-setter would be interesting . And I already told him not to spill the beans about the outcome if he watches it while I am at church as I am going to tape it.

Well said. In contrast some of the other players are the ones who have been graceless. It seems like that is in the past now too.
