Who knew a routine manintenance trip could have turned out to be so much fun? In between dealing with repairmen, spackle and paint, I got to enjoy incredible warm weather, beach walks, good food, otters, spiritual sunsets and plenty of time to try out the new camera. However the highlight was meeting the incredibly beautiful Steele women, lovable SJ, and the Clampitt boys. (Forgive my enthusiasm...I had just discovered Red Bar Bloody Marys for the first time that afternoon. It was like a salad in a glass: there were green beans, asparagus and olives in them for pete's sake. With vodka. Mm, betcha can't eat just one! ;-))

Thanks to those of you who reached out to me while I was there alone, before Mr. Blue arrived, and special thanks for the kind words (and print requests) on the photography. I'm in a fairly major career shift right now, and your words of encouragement mean more that you could possibly know. Man, I had so much fun, I feel completely rejuvenated.

Paula, if you see this: Laurie asked me to PM you about when you're planning on being there again (end of Feb?). She says we have a girls-night date then. ;-) Sounds good to me. Stay warm, happy travels until next time, y'all.

What a sweet post KB ... SoWal is great when it's time to do some thinkin', isn't it? I hit Inlet Beach and I feel like I can take a deep breath and RELAX. Must be even better this time of year. Glad you had so much fun. :D All the unluckies (even down here) appreciate your beautiful photos.

Thanks for the message. Sounds like we'll have to have one of those salads-in-a-glass-with-vodka... Maybe we'll see some other SoWalk folks as well.
