Thanks so much to all of our great community during the unexpected illness and passing of Ed's mama, Marta Reese. This has been an incredibly difficult and exhausting few months for us. As we said goodbye last week to that amazing little woman who held this family together, and as we try to figure out what is our "new normal" life, we know how blessed we have truly been to have the support of so many friends and neighbors. We could not have gotten through it without the prayers and well wishes.
Our hearts ache but are made a bit lighter by this wonderful community.

I almost stopped by there yesterday on my way home. I think I'll bring Ed's dad in for dinner one Tuesday night soon. We are spending a lot of time with him now and some of Allifunn's delicious comfort food would do him a world of good. What is on the menu next Tuesday?
