Beach Fanatic
....for allowing me to relive my vacation today through their awesome photos. :clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1: You guys were very busy in the past week posting photos. It was rough leaving the 80+ degree sunny weather of SoWal & returning to mid 50?s party cloudy Pittsburgh. Those wonderful photos helped to relieve some of the post vacation depression.

I wish I would of known that Kurt?s prints were on display at Bud & Alley?s. I could of got off my butt at the bar & checked them out in person! This will definitely be on the ?to do? list for the next trip.

What a great week ? couldn?t of asked for better weather & the Gulf was perfect! Spent most of the time relaxing with good friends, great food & a drink or two (okay maybe several). We couldn?t of had a better week ? maybe if we had won the lottery or had a cabana boy to carry our stuff to/from the beach & keep our frozen drinks fresh.

Took a little tour of the 30-A beaches for research for the next Spring Break ?06 trip. The hurricane damage was very sobering. You couldn't walk very far on Miramar Beach without having to walk under some houses. I can't imagine what it's like there when the surf is rough. It looked like several houses were gone in Gulf Trace and I could not believe the vertical drop off from house to beach in Blue Mountain Beach. At one house it felt like we were standing on top of a 4 story building looking straight down at the beach. Anyone have any idea how they pile the new sand up that high?

Thanks for the info, what a dramatic change in the beaches.....so glad you had a great trip!!!!!
