LL--I think people should call it "modern" instead of "weird"!

I know. These are the days! I just went to a wedding reception where they had to make sure all the divorced couples weren't sitting near each other so there wouldn't be confrontations. :floor:

Speaking of Thanksgiving, this year my whole family is going to be in one place instead of me and my wife driving across the state and eating 4 different meals. :clap_1: We are so excited! We can just stuff ourselves and pass out instead of getting in the car. Can't wait.

What is really amazing is that my folks (divorced and remarried) get along well enough to sit at the same dinner table.

When my daughter got married, the stepmom and I lit the unity candle together and watched her walk down the aisle, by both her dad's with our arms linked and wiping each others eyes so we didn't ruin our make-up.

On Monday night when our grandson came into this world, the 4 of us, both dads and both moms were all holding hands and being thankful that we had all been adult enough to be able to enjoy this miracle with no wierdness. We went to dinner and toasted with our son-in-law for the miracle that had taken place.

We've had some bumps along the way. But the love of that baby, child, young lady, wife and now a Mommy has always been our focus. I feel sorry for people that are too short sighted to do that. You really miss out on so many good times!

It is great that you put your kids first rather than any disagreements you may have had with your ex. That's what its all about.
